Outside Scholarships

Many UT students receive outside scholarships. View the outside scholarship list below or check with your high school guidance counselor or local library (the College Blue Book is an excellent resource) or check the scholarship search websites below. Students may also visit the Financial Aid Office in Plant Hall Room 427 during regular business hours for further assistance.

Most privately funded programs have early deadlines (April or May). Applications may require a copy of your high school or college transcript, two or three letters of recommendation and an essay.

Be wary of search services that charge a fee. You should not have to pay for a legitimate financial aid search. Learn more about scholarship scams.
